In the western North Carolina mountains Stephanie and Ryan held their wedding gorgeous setting of Hidden River Events. The weather threatened but the mostly outdoor event turned out perfectly right in the middle of some of the most beautiful countryside in the South. If you are a photography buff you know that overcast skies provide some of the best even lighting possible and that's exactly what we had. Here are a few images from their day. Congrats to you both Ryan and Stephanie!

It seemed storybook right down to the thunder that occurred just after the recessional as if scripted. :) The weather cooperated perfectly and the night was filled with emotion and laughter. (and a few hoots a hollers) Congratualtions to you both and I can't wait to see what life has in store for you! I know, I know get on with the pictures... here you go.

Following the ceremony we headed over to the UNCC Gardens for a few shots before heading to the Ranson House in Huntersville. Eric and Carey's wedding was an emotionally charged day and just lovely to photograph. Here are a few of my favorites from the day…

The ceremony was held at the Calvary United Methodist Church and the reception followed at the Annapolis Marriot on the scenic harbor. Horse and buggy were the bride and groom's transport from the wedding and the rest of us enjoyed an excitement charged trolley ride. I don't think I have ever felt the floor of a hotel flex and bounce as it did when the dance floor was filled that night! The party didn't end there either as the after party went long into the night. Certainly a night to rememeber! Congrats...

Just before the ceremony we headed down to the beach for a few shots and then we traveled a short drive to the Abundant Life Christian Center in Margate. The cocktail hour and reception was held at the hotel and lasted into the wee hours of the night rocked by their DJ and a full band. It was an amazing time for an amazing couple. They displayed their superior dancing abilities performing the Tango and all the guests had such a great time with the photo...

The location is an amazing one for a couple's special day and they did a great job. Michelle and Roger had the perfect wedding with the ceremony in the shade of the mansion's enormous oak trees with floral gardens surrounding. Afterward everyone retired to a candle-lit cocktail hour and reception dining room. These two are so fun and I consider both of them close friends. I had an amazing time photographing their day and I hope...

How often do you see such a special ceremony overlooked by sheer rock faced mountains disappearing into what has been called the most beautiful man made lake in the country. The Sons of Ralph rocked the dance floor all night and the amazing floral arrangements were provided by Flower Gallery of Asheville. These two were so fun to work with and laid back. I love when a couple wants to spend a lot of time on their images because #1 it's what I love to do and #2 they will have that many more images to treasure...
