My Team

I wanted to play around in the studio and keep my product photography skills tuned so I pulled out my arsenal and decided to create a team portrait of the equipment I use for weddings, sports, and portraits. If you have me scheduled for your upcoming wedding, these are the bad boys that will help to create your wedding portfolio. :)

CCHS Swim and Dive

This year I had the honor of providing team and individual images to the Charlotte Cathlic High School Swim and Dive Team.  As well as posed photos I took a few shots from their local swim meets. I also designed their parent Lanyards which was a great deal of fun and turned out nicely.  It was a great experience all around and I thought I would share a few from the year.

Dec 2011 with Family

If you didn’t know, Christmas is my favorite time of the year. It used to be because I enjoyed everything about it, for myself,  but now that I have children I get to enjoy it through them which makes it 100 x’s better.  After all the presents were opened and everything settled we headed to Myrtle beach with the fam and the kids LOVED playing in the sand and admiring the grandeur of the Atlantic. Here a few takes… Merry Christmas and happy holidays everyone.

Our 2011 Santa Visit

We learned from the holiday season of 2010 that trying to see Santa at the mall in late December could possibly be the most insane and poorly planned things anyone could venture to do.  We actually missed out on seeing him… Once we were quoted a 3.5 hour wait time we turned around and headed back towards the car.  So this past November a few days BEFORE Turkey day we were determined to beat the crowds and headed out to the mall. 10-15 minutes of waiting and the magical moment we had waited for, for almost 2 years had arrived.  Our kids waited in line rather patiently as their anticipation(anxiety) grew. They watched as Santa took his time with the children since the line wasn’t very long at all and none of the kids were crying so this was going perfectly.    Finally we have an opening and head up to the friendly round man, mommy and daddy went up with the little ones to hopefully sooth any hesitation, and mommy even sat on the chair with the big guy as Gianna sat on her lap. Gianna looked at Santa in wonder as Landon stood next to mommy as a buffer.  We had rehearsed with Landon what to say but all that went out the window.  He had no interest in going near the man in the red suit so daddy decided to try to assist gently.  Landon then showed disinterest as he started to panic and with that Gianna of course, did so as well. Mommy and Daddy looked at each other knowing if we weren’t going to get a sweet picture of smiles, we were going to get a memorable kicking and screaming shot.
With that said here is our mall memory for Christmas 2011… Santa even posed for me as if he were crying along with them.

Another positive that came out of this was that we submitted our image to the Ellen Degeneres Show and it was on tv! :) See the video below!
